Shop Floor Connect / DNC Connect / 3rd Party Integration / Mcenter Service Release 2607

The new Shop Floor Connect, DNC Connect, 3rd Party Integration, API, MMR Service version 2607 is released and now available. Please look below for the enhancements and changes of the different modules.

The release is now available to all customers with a maintenance contract in our new helpdesk. Please register on the following page. You will then receive confirmation of your access. You can then submit support requests and download the releases. All customers who do not yet have access to our helpdesk and want to download the software, please request access via the following link.

Please send an email to service@aplusb-solutions.com if you want the release on a data medium. Direct Siemens PLM Software customers can get the release from the GTAC download area.

This Shop Floor Connect Release 2607 supports all Teamcenter UA versions from 12.x up to the actual version Teamcenter 2606.

Urgent Service notes

• DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
• For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
  This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens Digital Industries Software.

Enhancements

• Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.120.
• ActiveDNC: The list of classification attributes displayed for tool assemblies and components can now be configured in SFCAdmin.
• ActiveDNC: The display of a program group’s tool list has been enhanced. It is now possible to display attributes from the ItemRevision or the first classification object in the tool component table.
• ActiveDNC: Through the settings menu, you can now filter the list of workstations based on the browser’s remote IP address (for autologin) or based on the logged-in username.
• ActiveDNC: Work package is opened, the contents of ‘object_string’ are now displayed in the header as information. If this information is not available, [id]/[revision]-[name] is displayed, as before.
• SFCCore: SFC_WF_GetEPMTasksToPerform_20192 also includes now the properties fnd0Instructions and root_reference_attachments.
• SFC-Core: If a UGPART exists, the system searches for an optional drawing (IMAN_Drawing) and returns it depending on the configuration of the DNC types (the PDF dataset must be included). Duplicate datasets (both as IMAN_Drawing and directly attached to the ItemRevision) are considered only once.

Bugfixes/Changes

• ActiveDNC: The header of ActiveDNC displayed user data incorrectly. Instead of the pattern ‘Personname (user ID)’, ‘Personname’ was displayed. As a result, the customized workspace list for users could not be correctly determined. This error has been fixed.
• SFCCore: The “owning_group” property could not be evaluated previously, even although it was entered in the SFCWorkpackage_conf.xml file. The issue has been resolved. The property is now also included by default for ItemRevision and Dataset in the SFCWorkpackage_conf.xml file.
• SFCCore: In the SFCWorkpackage_conf.xml.default file, the ‘bl_quantity’ attribute was added to the ‘BOMLine’ element. When updating, the active configuration file must be modified manually.
• SFC-Core: An issue has been fixed for tool activites without assigned MRL tool. If the assigned MRL tool is classified as MultiTool, the created tool activity name by NX ends with the suffix ‘_[REVID]-Cn’ (e.g.: ‘_A-C2’) where n is the cutter id. The optional appended cutter id is now ignored to find the assigned MRL tool.
• SFCCacheManager: A problem has been fixed in which additional configured BOMLine attributes containing uppercase letters were not saved to the cache database.

Mcenter Service

Enhancements

• Bump logback to version 1.5.32.
• Common: The mapping configuration files are now re-read with each run. This means it is no longer necessary to restart the service after making a change to one of these files.
• MFG_MMR: If a value has been configured in ‘MMR.Programs.Upload.Workflow.Title’, the display name of the work package is appended to that value for easier identification. Example: ‘Mcenter-Upload : 0001308/A-My test cam part’
• MRL_MMR: Starting with SFC_ServerService 2607, PDF files of drawings (UGPART as IMAN_Drawing) are also displayed. In the configuration file ‘MRL2MMR.mapping.assembly.files.properties’, the ‘Teamcenter.DatasetList’ property must include the type ‘PDF’.
• MFG_MMR: It is now possible to include the comment entered by the machine operator for an upload from a connected machine as a description of the upload workflow or change request.

Bugfixes/Changes

• MFG_MMR: When updating an existing NcPackage (as well as when creating a new NcRevision), the content of the ‘External Revision’ attribute was lost. This issue has been resolved.
• MRL_MMR: If the tool master data record for a tool assembly was updated via the V2 interface and more than one cutting edge was omitted during the transfer, the update in Mcenter would abort with an error. This behavior has been corrected. Unnecessary cutting edges are now removed.
• MRL_MMR: The ‘removeUnimportantTPs’ classification attribute filter would sometimes terminate with the error ‘java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 1, Size: 1’. Additional checks have been added to resolve this error. Requires update of the SFC_ServerService.
• MRL_MMR: The following changes were made to the attribute mapping file ‘MRL2MMR.mapping.assemblyV2.attributes.properties.default’: * Changed the spelling from ‘ToolClassV2.NSM’ to ‘ToolClassV2.Nsm’ * Added the attribute ‘ToolClassV2.CuttingEdgeDefinitionV2.CuttingEdgeExtensionV2.Tn1’. Changes to the active configuration file must be made manually after the update!
• MFG_MMR: Previously, updating an existing NcPackage did not update the ‘Name’, ‘Description’, ‘Workpiece Name’, ‘Test Run’ and ‘Manual Check After Test Run’ attributes.
  This has been corrected.
• Setup: If the interface was installed in a directory whose path name contained spaces, the service would subsequently fail to start.
  This issue has been resolved.
• Setup: If the interface is installed in ‘c:/program files’, the path ‘C:/ProgramData/ShopFloorConnect_MMRService/work’ is now used as the working directory.
