Urgent Service notes

  • DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
  • For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens PLM.

Shop Floor Connect

Enhancements

  • Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.104.
  • Access from the SFCAdmin web app to the SFC API is now additionally secured with an internal, randomly generated API key.

Bugfixes/Changes

  • Fixed a problem where site references from Teamncenter (such as ‘PSEAutoPackPref’) were not read correctly.

Removed

  • The old MCIS transfer mode (formerly NC package browser) has been removed. The connection to Mcenter is not affected by this.
  • Removal of the commands “Move2MENCProgram” and “AddToolsFromFile” of the part data interface, which are no longer supported.
  • Removal of the configuration file “PW_Data.properties”, which is no longer supported.

Depricated

  • Support of TC11 marked as deprecated. Will be removed in release 2507.

Announcements

  • Starting with the upcoming version 2507, the configuration interface /tcw/admin will be integrated into /SFCAdmin. The /tcw/admin will then no longer be available, everything must be configured in /SFCAdmin. The storage of workplaces will also be changed. Until now, these have been located in Teamcenter in the ‘folder’ ‘DNC setup/workplaces’. In future, a plantn structure will be used. This will also make it easier to manage the workplace groups. With the upcoming update, a migration will be performed automatically after the first start. The configuration of machine connections, DNC types and search and reporting criteria will in future only be saved in the SFC installation and will no longer be transferred to Teamcenter (this information is not required there). It is recommended to check and clean up the existing configuration before then. Due to the necessary adjustments, the release date of the next version 2507 may be slightly delayed.

MI-Server

Enhancements

  • Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.104.
  • First version of support for the connection of controllers via the Siemens Brownfield Connectivity Gateway (BFC).
  • First version of support for the connection of Fanuc controllers via Focas2.

Bugfixes/Changes

  • Fixed an error when sending files which caused the error message ‘java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke ?org.slf4j.Logger.atInfo()? because ?this.m_logger? is null’.

Mcenter Service

Bugfixes/Changes

  • MFG_MMR: A typing error in the configuration file ‘confMFG_MMRMFG2MMR.mapping.properties.default’ has been fixed. ‘NcRevision.StructureFile.TC.FilenameUplod’ is incorrect. The correct key value is: ‘NcRevision.StructureFile.TC.FilenameUpload’. The update does not make any changes to active configuration files! This must be done manually after the update.
