This Shop Floor Connect Release 2404 supports all Teamcenter UA versions from 11.x up to the actual version Teamcenter 2312.

Urgent Service notes

  • DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
  • For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens PLM.

Shop Floor Connect

Enhancements

  • Support of Teamcenter 2312.
  • Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.86.
  • Change of group/role in a dedicated session is now possible. The feature is not available in AutoLogin mode.
  • Upgrade of the internal Java to version 17.0.10 (only Windows).
The (minimum) required Java version is still 11, Java 17 is required from Teamcenter 2312.
  • Resource Tracker: First Implementation of ‘Relocate’ function. It is now possible to remove a tool from a magazine.
  • ResourceTracker: For tools in a tool trolley, the associated presetter operation ItemID is now set as the sequence number of the BOM list. This makes it possible to identify which ‘job’ the tool is assigned to.

Bugfixes/Changes

  • Common: For compatibility with Java 17 (required as of Teamcenter 2312), the path to the Teamcenter FCC libraries (%FMS_HOME%/lib) must again be set as a Java start argument (-Djava.library.path).
Previously, this path could be set internally after starting the Java runtime – this option is no longer available as of Java 17.
  • Administration: When creating a new workplace, an incorrect error message was displayed if an element with the entered ID already existed in Teamcenter. This has been fixed.
  • ActiveDNC: JT-Viewer did not work when failover mode was active. This has been fixed.
  • Failover V1: Fixed a problem where a UGMASTER dataset could no longer be imported into the cache database (NullPointerException).
  • Failover V2: Fixed a problem that caused all SFC licenses to be locked by repeated automatic login attempts after switching to failover.

Mcenter Service

Enhancements

  • MMR/T: The tool plan is now determined by default from the first Teamcenter MENCProgram folder found for the work package to be transferred. In this mode, no NC program dataset needs to be included in the MENCProgram folder as before.
This mode is activated via the configuration key: ‘MMR.ToolPlan.RequireNcDatasetInProgramGroup = false’
An update of an existing installation does not add this key to the active configuration file(s), so the previous behavior is not changed.
  • MMR/P ToolPlan: If tool activities without an assigned MRL tool are present in a work package, an additional determination can be triggered via the parts list to find the appropriate MRL tool. This feature must be activated in the SFC_ServerService (2404 or newer) in the configuration file Fit4TC_Configuration.properties using the following key: MENCToolActivity.tool_bl_list.fallback=true

MI-Server

Enhancements

  • Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.86
