Modular manufacturing information and MES solution for greater transparency
FIT is the common software platform for digitizing manufacturing processes with A+B Solutions. More than 40 years of production experience have gone into its development. The individual modules can be configured to suit specific tasks and expanded as needed later on.
At A+B, digitization does not simply mean electronically replicating established workflows. Rather, it opens up the possibility of simplifying processes and making valuable manufacturing knowledge permanently available within the company.
What FIT Does for Your Manufacturing
Depending on the configuration level, FIT supports key tasks in the manufacturing process:
-
Centrally manage and selectively provide manufacturing data
-
Securely transfer NC programs and tool data to machines via DNC
-
Collect machine data and make it available for analysis
-
Report activities and statuses back to production orders
-
Manage production orders and resources more effectively
-
Analyze production data based on key performance indicators
Companies can start with a specific task and add further functions as new requirements arise.
Everything at a glance: Through the central FIT user interface, authorized users access the functions and information they need for their tasks.

FIT Core Software – the common Foundation
The FIT server software forms the technical foundation of the platform. Data and information are managed centrally in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
A unified user management system enables the creation of groups and the assignment of permissions, as well as the allocation of connected workstations. License management and the logging of user activities support system administration.
Centrally organize Workstations and Manufacturing Information
FIT Workstation Management maps NC machines, manual workstations, or tool presetting. Cost centers and shift models can be assigned to the respective workstations.
The FIT-HI Web Menu InfoCenter displays current workstation statuses via a browser, for example as a list or graphically in a shop floor layout.
FIT Part Data Management consolidates the information required for the production of a part. This includes NC programs, setup sheets, tool lists, clamping plans, and drawings.
Changes made during production can be traced back and managed. Photos of clamping setups can also be assigned to a data record. Version control is available as needed.
Automatically import CAM data
The FIT CAMIntegrator connects various CAM systems to the FIT part data management system via standard interfaces.
This allows manufacturing information from the CAM system to be imported automatically. Manual data transfers are reduced, and data does not need to be maintained multiple times.
Integrating ERP, PPS, and Manufacturing
FIT Order Data Management imports production orders from ERP or PPS systems. Work plans and the associated work steps can be made available in FIT and released for production.
The work planning department gains an overview of scheduled orders and their statuses. Production employees access the information relevant to their workstations.
FIT-ERPConnect integrates with existing ERP and PPS systems. Order data and related information can be exchanged bidirectionally, for example via database exchange tables or other available routines.
This creates a seamless connection between the business order environment and manufacturing without having to replace existing systems.
Assigning Time and Personnel Data
FIT Time Data Management handles job- and workstation-related time units derived from activities and machine data. This information can be assigned to a job, a workstation, or a person.
FIT Personnel Data Management retrieves selected information from existing personnel master data. This may include, for example, personnel and ID numbers or employee photos.
A Foundation for various FIT Solutions
A+B’s advanced solutions are built on the shared FIT platform:
- FIT-WebDNC for NC programs and manufacturing information
- FIT-WebMDE for machine data acquisition
- FIT-WebMES for end-to-end manufacturing and order information
- FIT-AnalyseTool for key performance indicators and production controlling
- APS / FIT-CapaTool for production planning and resource management
