FIT Product Overview
FIT, the Factory Integrating Tool, is a software package consisting of a range of functional modules which the user can combine on an individual basis. This scalable solution can be used to fulfil various demands and requirements such as DNC, plant data acquisition (workstation or order related), machine or time data acquisition, personnel data acquisition, analyses based on key figures and manufacturing control based on capacities and resources. FIT, with all of its additional modules, thus represents an holistic manufacturing information or MES solution.
FIT provides customised interfaces and modules between ERP/PPS, CAX, PDM, personnel, planning and analysis systems in order to facilitate an integrated process chain between the business and technical IT worlds. Cost structures and production processes become transparent and weaknesses are analysed in a targeted way. Planning and decision-making reliability is created, production becomes more flexible, and productivity increases.
DNC – Direct Numerical Control
FIT-Web-DNC is a Web-based solution for the connection of a great variety of machine/controller as well as interface combinations (Ethernet, serial, protocol-based). Manufacturing information can be directly displayed using a browser-based user interface. NC programmes can be called via the user interface or directly from the controller (AutoDNC)....
PDA – Production data acquisition
With the FIT modules for the acquisition of order data, personnel data and time data, there is the possibility of collecting production data based on a workstation, order and person. With the ERPConnect module, the data on a manufacturing order can be copied from an ERP/PPS system and the recorded activities, times, workstations, and persons aligned with it....
MDA – Machine data acquisition
By using the time data acquisition FIT module, signals, such as the runtime or malfunctions of machines, for example, can be recorded either hardware-based via digital signals with Web I/Os or software-based for the Siemens 840D with RPC Sinumerik Software installed and configured on the controller, or via Java, for example, for the S7 controller. The collected data can then be analysed based on key figures with the analysis tool

Interfaces – Integration tools
FIT has a great variety of ways to connect ERP/PPS systems (database or file-based). Data from any external NC programming system can be incorporated by using the integrated parts data interface. The personnel data interface facilitates a data exchange with HR systems. The time data interface can be used to further process the collected time data in external analysis systems.
